Terms & Conditions of Field Dakwah Program
Purpose
- The primary objective of Street Da’wah is to disseminate and convey the Islamic teachings and values plus clearing the misconceptions about Islam to the general public in open areas such as streets, parks, or other public places, especially targeting non-Muslims whilst spreading the importance of Da’wah to the Muslims.
Volunteer Roles and Responsibilities
- Volunteers should strive to introduce innovative ideas and diversify preaching methods to enhance effectiveness.
- Each volunteer must possess and practice a proficient understanding of Islam, if adequate level they are most welcome to learn from IDT regular free classes.
- It is imperative for every individual volunteer to uphold Malaysia’s constitution and uphold IDT’s reputation thus refrain oneself from any actions that may tarnish it during these activities.
- Volunteers are required to attentively follow the guidance of appointed leaders and adhere to their directives. Maintaining a good communication.
Training and Orientations
- Every participating volunteer should try their best to attend and actively engage in the training sessions covering Islamic values and preaching (Da’wah) techniques.
Actions and Ethics
- Volunteers must treat all individuals approached for Da’wah with respect, refraining from any form of discrimination and confrontation.
- Maintaining confidentiality and respecting privacy standards is imperative when engaging with interested individuals.
- In situations where a volunteer is unsure or unable to address a question or situation, they should seek assistance from team leader and refrain from conveying uncertain information.
- Any issues, misconduct, or concerns should be promptly reported to a designated leader within IDT.
- Volunteers are expected to dress modestly, avoiding attire that may convey violence or extremism.
- Coercion or threats in compelling individuals to accept (Da’wah) preaching are strictly prohibited.
Dismissal of Volunteers
- Volunteers will be dismissed if they fail to adhere to IDT guidelines and be sent to law authority if needed.
- Any aggressive or reckless behavior that may tarnish IDT’s reputation will result in dismissal and taken a probable law enforcement if needed.
- Through this, we would want to underline that volunteerism is restricted to events that are officially recognized.
- Volunteers who break state legislation, either before or after da’wah efforts are implemented, will not hold IDT accountable.
- It is expected of volunteers not to use the IDT name for any purpose other than carrying out the da’wah program that has been authorized by the IDT.
- Thus, in all da’wah-related endeavors, we kindly request the volunteers’ allegiance in order to preserve the organization’s reputation and moral fiber.
